These are just a few projects you can make with peppermint patties. Do you like peppermint patties? Here's a little history on the candy. The York Peppermint Pattie was first produced in York, PA in 1940 by Henry C. Kessler. They were distributed nationally in 1975. The Pattie is covered with dark chocolate and the cream is hard inside.
I have seen a few peppermint snowmen floating around on the web, but none made with arms or a hat like this one. If you look very closely at the snowman's arms, you'll see they are stamped. Guess what? I used the Season of Friendship tree branches! This stamp makes perfect arms. For the body, I used the 1 3/4" circle punch; his head, the 1 3/8" circle punch, and the small tag punch for his hat. I also used the 1/4" circle punch for his buttons and eyes. I used the small star punch for his nose. For the flower and leaf on his hat, I used my BIg Shot's Birds & Blooms Sizzlits Die with a black brad for the center of the flower. We made these at my November club night. I was going to add a scarf, but I thought the ladies would throw them at me if I added one more thing for them to do to him. (smile) Funny enough, one did say "I'm surprised you didn't add a scarf." To check out my stamp classes/camps, please click here.
It's kinda late for Halloween spiders but since they are showing up everywhere, I thought I would share mine too. I do not know who was the original creator, but thanks for sharing. I used the scallop circle punch for the body and the photo corner punch for his legs. I used the 1/2" and 1/4" circle punches for the eyes and the 1/4" circle punch for his nose.
Hope you enjoyed visiting today. Have fun making your creations with your Peppermint Patties. I'd love to see what you come up with! Until tomorrow....
