A Stamp A Day......

Perfect Princess #1

One of my customers asked me to come up with a birthday invitation for her little girl using the Perfect Princess stamp set. I designed two cards for her, here is one of the cards. This card is made a little different, the layer with the crown flips up, it is tucked under the wand. The flap with "You're invited" flips open too. My scan does not do this card justice, it looks much better in real life. She chose the other card, which is similar to this one because she didn't want to cut out all the crowns. I will share the other one soon. Thanks for dropping in today!

This was my June swap card, I've been SO busy I forgot to share it with you. I will be posting my July swap card soon, so stay tuned darlings!

This card is one that opens differently. I'm not really sure if there is a "name" for this kind of card. The card measurements are as follows: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" Melon Mambo; 7 1/2" x 5 1/4" score at 2 1/4" Bermuda Bay; 2 1/2" x 9 1/4" score at 4 1/4" Crushed Curry; 4" x 2 1/4" Whisper White and 1 1/2" x 1" Melon Mambo. Define Your Life

 

Todays post is the second posting of my Stamp-a-Stack cards for July 24th. I have had this set, Define Your Life for a while and finally got a chance to use it. I totally love this stamp set. I have wanted this set for a long, long time and finally decided to purchase it. I made another card with this cute little guy. Soft Suede Inspired by Nature

 

I designed today's card by using the misting technique. This is one of the cards we will be making tonight at our monthly club class.  Do you notice any NEW colors? How about Soft Suede and Crushed Curry? 

Misting Technique: Starting with your lightest color, color your image with markers until it is completely covered. Spray the image with a water misting bottle. The more you spray, the more the ink will run when you stamp your image. Hold stamp in one hand then mist with the other, hold about 12" away. You can spray the water in the air and then move your image through the mist. Make sure stamp doesn't get too wet, especially when you are not stamping on watercolor paper. Stamp your image and admire your very own creation. Each one you stamp will be different!

One of my customers asked me to design a graduation card and this is what I came up with. Hope she likes it! I also changed up the card a little by stamping the letters g-r-a-d (in a straight line) with the Contempo Alphabet stamp set so she would have more than one card to choose from.
