Sweet Centers Halloween Game

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to show you this fabulous idea I came up with for my Halloween treat-or-treat goodies this year. I created this card/game using the Sweet Centers stamp set. Gotta love this set! I know most children like candy for Halloween, but maybe they'd like to have a game to play with while eating their candy. Today's post is a game (and card that opens) which I will give to my three "special" trick-or-treaters. I plan on making many more which will look exactly the same, but they will not be a card that opens. 

This game is not new, in fact it's been around for a while. I just made it my very own creation by using the Sweet Treat Cups that you can purchase from the Holiday Mini starting on September 1st. This game is like the little handheld games we used to play when we were younger. You roll the balls around and try to get them in the holes. Now, you may notice there are no metal balls in my game yet, I haven't had a chance to purchase them, but hopefully I will get some this weekend. I was just sooooo excited to share this idea with everyone I HAD to post it today. Hope you like the idea!

Medallion Halloween Style

Hi Stampers,

I'm back from convention and FINALLY got a chance to stamp. I have to admit when this new Medallion Background stamp came out in the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog I wasn't too crazy about it. Well, now don't you know, I love it. Don't you just HATE it when you say you don't need a stamp set, and then all of a sudden you MUST have it! This idea has been brewing (no pun intended) in my head for a while. I'm so happy to share it with you. Don't you think this stamp looks like a spider's web? I was thinking about adding some pieces of dryer sheet for a more 3D effect, but since I haven't done laundry, that was out of the question! (smile) Maybe I'll create another one, once I do the laundry. Thanks for dropping by, hope to see you soon. Oh, I've been asked how I did the black in the web. I inked up my Medallion stamp with Pumpkin Pie stamp pad and then randomly touched parts of the stamp (around the edges and holes) with my Basic Black marker. Then I huffed on the stamp to remoisten and stamped my image! Pretty cool huh?

A Cardinal Christmas

Todays card is one I swapped at the 2009 Stampin' Up! convention which was held this month in Salt Lake City, Utah. Do you like the card better with ribbon or without? Want to know which technique I used to achieved this look? Okay, grab your brayer and wrap rubber bands all around the roller part. Roll your brayer on a stamp pad, then roll away on your cardstock! It is very easy and each card will look different.

Are You Crazy for Cupcakes?

This is one of the swaps I made for the 2009 Stampin' Up! Convention. I used the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. Don't you just love cupcakes? The more frosting, the better! We will be making this card at my September Stamp-a-Stack class too! It is a great card to do at a Stamp-a-Stack event. Don't know if you can tell the cupcakes have glitter on each one. Japanese Doll Card

 

I wanted to give my hand a try with these cute little dolls. How do you like her? We will be making this card at our club class tonight. I created a "gatefold" card and attached her to the top (remember to adhere only the left side of the layer) and punched a hole so you could tie the layer closed. You use the wide oval punch and punch 3 ovals. You attach two wide ovals side by side, then put one centered underneath. Insert this into your wide oval punch and clip off a tad to round out the bottom of your girl. Use 1" circle punch for face and 1 1/4" circle punch for hair. Hope you like!

Wanted Wallet

 

Hi Stampers,
Today's post is a wallet. We made this at one of our project classes. This is a great gift to receive, especially if it has a gift card inside! This wallet will hold gift cards or real money! This would be a great gift to give someone, who doesn't like gift cards or moola!

Movers and Shapers Card

Todays card is a really quick and easy card. It takes all of about 5 minutes to make. I used the Movers and Shapers die! This exclusive Curly Label Bigz Magnetic Die is designed to coordinate with our Curly Label punch. I stamped and colored my heart image on Whisper White cardstock and used the Curly Label punch for the heart. I then layered the white stamped imaged onto the Garden Green piece of cardstock that was cut from the die. I popped those two pieces up with dimensionals! Tied some ribbon and wha-la! Done!

Who's Full of Beans?

I created this card a VERY, VERY LONG time ago (in April I believe). I even sent it in to Stampin' Up! for one of their contests. Guess I didn't win, but I would love to share it with you now.

 

I LOVE this bear. I was introduced to him at the 2008 Stampin' Up! convention! I've been wanting to create a card using this stamp set for a long, long time. You know how you have SO many stamp sets, keep ordering more, it sets on your shelf, then decide you better use it! This is my creation, hope you like it. I have posted a couple pictures of the card. The first is the outside, the second is the inside, and then the third is the outside again at an angle so you can see how everything is popped up using dimensionals. This bear is SO happy he is standing on his head. Which one do you think is full of beans?
