Stampin' Up! always amazes me. Inspire, create and share! The Stampin' Up! convention was totally awesome. On check-in day when you enter the convention center you are so pumped and very excited to find out what's going to happen, what your tote bag looks like, what in your tote bag, and what is inside Memento Mall! Here's some photos of Memento Mall!

I must admit I came home from Salt Lake City, UT exhausted, like so many other demonstrators. There was definitely NO time to sleep. I was up at the crack of dawn everyday. On check-in day, I swapped cards and stood in line for 2 1/2 hours at Memento Mall (didn't seem like that long because we all were swapping cards) waiting for it to open so we could SHOP. We had General Session and classes everyday too. I took thousands of pictures at convention! I didn't take a computer with me to update my blog everyday, maybe next year I will. Stampin' Up! kept us busy, so I don't know when I would have had time anyway! I have tons of pictures of cards on the display boards and different happenings at convention. Lots of ideas floating in my head, now to find time to do them before I forget! If I could only take a picture of the ideas in my head! One of the really neat projects on display was this. I'm not sure who created this, but this is incredible. Notice that's our DSP rolled up to make a placemat. How cool is that? And look at the flower!
Oh, I almost forgot to share something very exciting with you. One of my cards made it up on the display board! Wow, this was the first time I ever submitted a card to Stampin' Up! and they displayed it!! Who-whooo!!! Here it is, hope you like. You can find more information about this card here.
General Session opened with a performance by a rhythmic gymnastics troupe and they were great. Shelli Gardner welcomed us to convention and spoke about inspiring, sharing and creating. Of course Brent Steele is awesome on stage. He "wowed" us with "MY DIGITAL STUDIO." My Digital Studio is a scrapbooking and cardmaking program for our computers. It is in the final phase of testing and just released to Demonstrators today. One of the perks of being a demo is you get products earlier than customers. Don't worry though, customers can purchase one of their own starting in October!
We saw the new Build-a-Bear dies and stamp sets and Build-a-Bear himself. Shelli "wowed" us by telling us we had our very own Build-a-Bear with a Stampin' Up! apron and special stamp waiting in Memento Mall for us. So guess what? Back to Memento Mall. The line went very quicky since all we had to do was pick out our bear and the color bow we wanted! Here is a photo I took of Build-a-Bear and the Stampin' Up! bear with a Rich Razzleberry bow. Can you guess what color I chose for my bear's bow? If you know me well, you'll have NO trouble answering this question. Leave me a comment and tell me which color bow you think I picked!
We had fabulous Make-and-Takes this year! Lots of them too. Below are some photos!
Awards Night was fun watching fellow demonstrators and friends receive awards for their achievements. Tonic Sol-Fa ended the night by performing for us and Shelli's son-in-law, Jason led the conga line!
Dave Filmore, President and COO opened the General Session for Day Two. He had a recruiting challenge for the 3,000 demonstrators in attendance. If we recruit 1,500 new demos by the end of August we get to purchase My Digital Studio at 50% off. Shelli surprised us and told us if we recruited 3,000 new demos, we get it for FREE. As of Aug 31st the numbers were just a bit shy of the 1,500, but we received an award for all of our hard work. We get to receive My Digital Studio at 40% off. Another perk by being a demo, wouldn't you like to join our family?
Shelli showed us a new product line called "Simply Adorned" charms and necklaces. Stampin' Up! is coming out with Simply Adorned Charms and necklaces in the new Holiday Mini Catalog. Here are some photos of what she created to "wow" us!

Aren't these absolutely adorable? Well another great "thing" happens at convention. It is called PRIZE PATROL. That's where you receive FREE Stampin' Up! products if your color wristband is called. The very first day of convention, they gave away My Digital Studio's, Build-a-Bear dies and stamps, etc. I must admit I was a little bummed I didn't win. Who wouldn't want to receive one of those items for FREE? But then, something great happened on day number two! They called my color wristband and I won something VERY special. Shelli designed and signed some Simply Adorned Charms as prizes.
Isn't this locket so cool??? I won this, and a stamp set too! It came in a box with ribbon wrapped around the locket and stamp set. She told us we could tie the locket around our necks with the ribbon, but I was too afraid with all the commotion I would lose it. I kept it in the box and held it tight! What an incredible prize/gift to receive, it is so special. I will treasure it forever.
We had a keynote speaker Belinda Ellsworth. What an enthusiastic motivating presentation! She made us laugh and kept us entertained, all the while giving us good tips for our businesses. She talked about the "Power Hour" and focused on workshops as the foundation for our business. I can't wait to listen to her awesome CD!
Pam Morgan talked about our Holiday Mini Catalog and revealed a NEW hostess promotion starting September 1st until Nov. Any workshop order over $250, the hostess gets to choose any item out of the Holiday Mini for $10 (excludes My Digital Studio and the hostess sets). Bonnie Thurber "wowed" us with Halloween and Christmas projects and she showed use the "Shimmer Paints." Carrie Cudney "wowed" us with projects for Halloween, and even a cookie monster box. I can't wait to give that a try! She also made pine cones and roses using the Table Setting Bigz Die.
The last day of convention there was a game show. This year it was called "Demo Duel." It was played just like Family Feud. I just love that game! If you were chosen to play you could win from $50 to $250 in Stampin' Up! merchandise. How crazy is that? Now I KNOW you want to become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, we have soooo much fun. We also had commercial breaks by watching videos about Stampin' Up! that demonstrators submitted.
Speaking of becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, we have an amazing Starter Kit for $199. Why not think about it and contact me if you have any questions. I'd love to have you as a member of my team!
It was sad to leave Salt Lake City, but hopefully I will make it to next years convention, will you? Join now, start saving your dollars so you can join in the fun too!
Today is the first day you can order from the Holiday Mini. What an awesome mini catalog. Lots of fun stuff! If you are on my mailing list and have not received your Holiday Mini, it should be coming soon. I pay Stampin' Up! to mail the catalog to you and they posted last week that some of the catalogs have been delayed in shipping and hopefully you should receive it this week. Thankfully it is online today, so if you don't have one yet don't forget you can also view it online.
Thanks for dropping in today and I'll see you again real soon. Hope you have a wonderful day!
