Christmas with Autumn Days

This is another Christmas Card we will be doing at my December 4th Christmas Stamp-a-Stack class. We make 4 different designs with 5 of each card for a total of 20 cards. I love the look of Kraft Cardstock with this design. The snowflakes are from the Christmas Punch stamp set and are stamped in Versamark. Using markers, I inked up the pine cone stamp from Autumn Days and then sponged the edges of that layer with Craft Whisper White. Craft Whisper White is a pigment ink so be careful and give it time to dry. I also sponged the edges of the Handsome Hunter cardstock. The pine cones have Dazzling Diamond glitter on them, but it is hard to see. Enjoy your day. Thank you for visiting today and please come back!

Merry Christmas Snow Buddies

Cardinal Rubber Banding

 

 

This is one of my swap cards I swapped at the 2009 Stampin' Up! convention in Salt Lake City, UT. I have been waiting to do this card with my customers for some time now. This card is one we have been doing at a couple of my November workshops. Look at the Old Olive and White piece of cardstock. Nope, it's not Designer Series Paper. This is a technique that is done with a Brayer and rubber bands. Very cool and a WOW technique. Each piece has a different look. Everyone enjoyed doing this technique because it is very simple and easy to do! Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Punch Shaker Card

Today's card is a shaker card made with the exclusive Hostess Stamp Set Christmas Punch by Stampin' Up! This is one of the cards we will be creating at my November monthly club night. Penguin Sweet Treat Snowglobe Ornament

This is one of the cards we are doing at my November workshops. It uses the Sweet Treat Cups, Shimmer Paint and the Top Note Die all from Stampin' Up! If you are interested in having an in-home workshop please contact me to book a date. I used the Top Note Die and punched a hole in it. I then stamped the penguin image in Basic Black on another piece of white cardstock and colored him in. I placed the Sweet Treat Cup in the punched out hole of the Top Note to make a snowglobe ornament. I then needed something for snow so thought of the idea to use Glassy Glaze, pretty neat huh? Every once in a while I'll come up with something cool..... I then sponged the edges of the Top Note die with Platinum Shimmer Paint. The ornament stamp was stamped using the Platinum Shimmer Paint. I applied a very light layer of Shimmer paint directly to my stamp and stamped the image. Tied a bow and stamped my greeting. The snowflakes were stamped using the Metallic Silver Stamp Pad. All done! Hope you like my penguin snowglobe ornament! Thanks for looking!

Give Shimmery Thanks!

Today's card is made using the Movers and Shapers Die with the Holiday Windows Die and the Big Shot. The Movers and Shapers Die actually cuts and scores your card. I used 12 x 12 cardstock, cut in half. I am loving Shimmer Paint! I sponged Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint around the edges of the cut out circle and on the acorn itself. It really makes the image pop! The acorn image is from The More the Merrier Exclusive Hostess Set by Stampin' Up!

This tiny little bottle of Shimmer Paint goes a very long way! You can do various things with Shimmer Paint. You can ink up your stamp using Shimmer Paint, or you can use a sponge dauber to place Shimmer Paint on certain spots of your stamped image, or you can sponge your card for a different effect. There are many ways to use Shimmer Paint and I will try to post some different techniques soon. Thanks for dropping in today, please stop in again.

Just A Buzzin' How About You?

Had to give Christmas cards a rest, so today's card is made with Stampin' Up!'s "Just Buzzin' By" stamp set. These little bees are so adorable. Notice the layer that looks like honeycomb? You say, "How did you do that"? Come find out how at my Technique class. It's easy peasy to do! You will make a card and then receive a technique book ring so you can add each technique page with a sample of the technique. I added Dazzling Diamonds to the bees wings after I scanned the card to make them sparkle.  I will be posting another card I made using this same technique in a month or so! Dasher

 

I received a similar swap card from the 2009 Stampin' Up! convention, but the creator did not have any information on the back. I used her card as inspiration for this card. If you were the original creator please let me know so I can give you credit. I changed up the sizes of the cardstock and used a different greeting. This is one of the cards we did at my November 6th Christmas Stamp-a-Stack class. Dasher is stamped with Versamark and then embossed with Silver embossing powder. Don't forget to use your embossing buddies, especially with dark cardstock! Dasher is a very, very popular stamp and it is only $8.95 and can be found on page 208 of the 2009-2010 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog.
